This EP is a gift and tribute to my Mother, Helen Marie Bergstrom. She gave me the gift of music when I was 12 and bought me my first drum set, paid for drum lessons, and gave her basement as a jam room for me to play music with my friends from the very beginning, and all the way to the day the tour bus brought us home. 

Even though my successes are modest, music has given me a lifetime of amazing experiences and long standing friendships.

Now, after 42 years of music and drumming, I’m giving her the gift of music back. This album is a collection of 7 of her favorite gospel songs, reimagined and played by some of the best musicians I’ve ever known or played with.

Thank you to her for the love and support that allowed me to pursue my passion for music. Mom, your unwavering support has created a beautiful and lasting legacy, and I will always be grateful for the gift of music that you have given me.
